500 meters up on the Gyp Mountain hillside, one of Canada’s most significant flags stands proudly. In the picturesque valley below lies historic Falkland, home to gently rolling farmland, the Salmon River and one of BC’s oldest rodeo grounds.
This little paradise just 30 minutes outside of Vernon retains much of its original character. Extensive open pastures give way to dramatic mountain views. This rural community has plenty to offer horse enthusiast and anglers, with one of the longest-running stampedes and several lakes and rivers for those who love to play in the water. A small, close-knit town, Falkland has restaurants, a school, parks and an arena for community events.
